About the BOOK Series

The BOOK Series is the newest vertical of The Argonauts Series, extending our mantra — breaking down the silos between business, art, culture and diplomacy — into the world of authorship. Rather than the traditional book launch (a few words, a hurried signature, a glass of wine), the BOOK Series reimagines the format as a genuine soirée: an evening built to create meaningful connections between authors and a milieu that is often difficult to access, let alone truly enter. It is proof, once again, of the Argonauts model — People. Ideas. Opportunities. — applied to a new discipline, and an innovative platform for authors to have their work experienced, not just presented.

About this event

Beauty in the Blood (La Beauté dans le Sang) is a literary memoir co-authored by Yves Hernot and Olivier Vojetta — fragments of a life shaped by art, culture and philanthropy, told with the intimacy of a conversation rather than the distance of a biography. To mark its French launch, we're bringing it to Café de Flore, the storied Left Bank café that has hosted writers, philosophers and artists for over a century — a fitting home for a book, and a fitting stage for the Argonauts BOOK Series' very first evening. Guests will join Yves and Olivier for an informal meet-and-greet on the Flore's privatised first floor, with every copy of the book personally signed on the night.

A Franco-Belgian art patron and long-time Sydney resident, Yves Hernot is a Chevalier de l'Ordre national du Mérite. Beauty in the Blood draws on his life dedicated to art, culture and philanthropy, told in his own words alongside co-author Olivier Vojetta.

Olivier Vojetta

Co-author, Founder of The Argonauts Series

A Franco-Australian writer, biographer and cultural producer based in Sydney, Olivier Vojetta is the author of seven published works and Founder of The Argonauts Series. He co-wrote Beauty in the Blood alongside Yves Hernot, bringing the same instinct for connecting people, ideas and worlds that underpins his work with the Argonauts.
